OFFICIAL NOTICE OF

NOMINATION AND ELECTION

 

      Nominations for the office of President, Executive Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Chief Stewards, and Unit Coordinators will take place at the September 16, 2026 membership meeting and the election will take place at the dates, times, and place indicated below.  The term of office will run through December 31, 2029.  The candidate elected as President, Executive Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer will also serve as a delegate to the CWA National Convention for the term of office.

 

Nominations to be held:

                                    Time:  7:00 p.m.

                                    Place:  CWA Local 4603

                                                Milwaukee, WI 53213  

 

     As provided in the CWA Local 4603 By-Laws, any member who has paid dues through the month prior to nominations is in good standing and eligible to nominate candidates and run for office.

     Candidates must accept nomination at the nomination meeting or, if not in attendance, submit a written letter of acceptance to the Election Committee by the conclusion of nominations at the September 16, 2026 membership meeting.

 

THE NAMES OF ALL CANDIDATES WILL BE POSTED ON THE LOCAL WEBSITE WWW.CWA4603.ORG AFTER NOMINATIONS ARE HELD

 

The election for these offices will be held on the following dates at the following locations:

                                    Time:  5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.

Balloting shall be closed at 8:00 p.m. on the night of the election,

Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

 

Any member who has paid dues through the prior month will be eligible to vote.  Members will be asked to present a CWA Local 4603 membership card, driver’s license or other verifiable I.D. at the polls.

 

 

 

 

*ABSENTEE BALLOTS will be provided, upon proper written request, to anyone who cannot vote at the Local Membership meeting or at the Local Union office because they are on disability, vacation, or live and work more than 35 road miles from a place of voting.

     Upon individual hand-written request, the Chairperson of the Election Committee shall mail to the applicant an absentee ballot.  (No printed form will be accepted.)

     A proper request must be mailed to the Election Committee through the U.S. Mail and received at the Local’s designated Post Office Box seven (7) days prior to the Election.

 

     A proper request shall contain: A large self-addressed envelope, a current and signed membership card, name of employer, Chief Steward/Unit Coordinator if applicable, work location and signature.  The request will be null and void if any of the above information is missing.

Absentee ballots must be mailed

to the designated P.O. Box.

RUN-OFF ELECTION

                In the event a run-off election is needed, it will be conducted at the November membership meeting.

The election will be conducted at the date time and place indicated below.

                                    Time:  5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

                                    Place:  CWA Local 4603

                                                Milwaukee, WI 53213  

 

The Local office located at 6511 W Bluemound Road, Milwaukee, WI 53213 shall be open for voting from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on the Thursday preceding the election, and on the Saturday preceding the election, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
